It all started over 25 years ago; both our first international location and our first Dutch location opened over 25 years ago. So when they came together, years of experience and knowledge were brought to the table from both sides. They have been strengthening each other and growing together since 2017.
The Dutch part of Big Ben Kids brings in knowledge about Dutch laws and regulations, among other things. This is important because we want to make sure that our childcare centres are safe and secure. Zo Kinderopvang has more than 45 different locations and a professional head office. Zo Kinderopvang strives to be an excellent support for parents and provide high quality childcare, while being a financially stable organisation.
Big Ben Kids now comprises three different locations in The Hague and Wassenaar. The location Big Ben Kids Scheveningen was the first to join the international branch of Zo Kinderopvang, in 2017. The Wassenaar location joined Big Ben Kids in 2018. Our youngest location is Kijkduin, which joined us in 2019. This location, being the newest of all, has a revolutionary concept: the forest after school club. All locations have English as the official operating language and teachers from all over the world.
The international aspect of Big Ben Kids brings along intercultural experience. Our team and staff know what it is like to live in another country and to meet different habits and languages. Growing up as third culture kids can give extra challenges. Our intercultural programme helps third culture kids overcome those challenges and embrace their multicultural background. At Big Ben Kids we want to make sure that our children reach their greatest potential, while preparing them for a life as global citizens. A home away from home is what we are, every day!
