The Carnival season arrived, and the first Carnival in our new location deserved an experience where the spirit of community and unity were a fact. Our goal was to transmit our children the spirit of the Carnival, a very popular celebration in many countries to learn about the world around them. That is why we decided to organize a week full of colours and funny costumes, with plenty of fantasy and a large amount of joy.
Welcome to our Carnival week!
Everything started in the sleeping room, while your children sleep and the teachers dream, sometimes our dreams become wonderful projects.
Mommy Clown and Banana Clown were hosting the Carnival week. They were in charge of telling us what to wear the next day.
After 14 years as a teacher, I still feel amazed seeing how inspiring can be when a small idea blooms and it is being transformed into a big project: Teachers working together as a team where everybody has a say, all our children active protagonists and the families involved with a very positive response.
On Monday, we all came to school wearing colourful and elegant bows and neckties. Some of our children came with daddy’s necktie.
Tuesday our Carnival Party hosted by Seniors was a blast! Children and parents let their imagination fly. Children played different roles: They became their favourite cartoon characters, a dragon, an Olympic gymnast, we had a lot of princesses and superheroes, cowboys, etc.
Confetti and serpentine were falling while we all were dancing together around the dancefloor, children played with the balloons and they had so much fun!
Juniors and Babies on the first floor were celebrating together the Big Party with a delicious snack.
Wednesday after-party, we had a very relaxed day in our pyjamas. Seniors and Preschoolers gathered and cosy up with our cuddly toys on the pillows and cushions and decided to watch the movie “Toy Story”.
At our Fruity Party on Thursday we made a juicy fruit salad with Juniors Grapes, Seniors Strawberries and Preschoolers Apples! The children worked on their costumes and they were so proud of wearing them!
Closing the Carnival week, we had our Hat Fashion show! BSO children as special audience could see the different designs that Preschoolers and Seniors presented while walking down the catwalk.
Every day the colourful and healthy snacks were offered by our little chefs and teachers. We had delicious smoothies, funny fruit snacks, cute cake pops, yummy strawberry crumbles cups.
Children and teachers worked together in making decorations for their classes. And we had a very creative “arts and crafts” workshop.
Mommy Clown and Banana Clown said goodbye, leaving beautiful memories, funny moments and lots of laughs. Thank Carnival for offering us such a great experience!
See you again next year!
