The fun starts with bringing up the boxes of decoration and turning our building into a winter wonderland…
It is such a magical time when teachers and children plan secret performances and practice to be the star of the Christmas Party. When the building smells of fresh baked Christmas goodies and children get a little excited and nervous here and there. When listening to stories about Santa and his helpers.
One of our highlights of the holiday season on the 14th of December.
All teachers and children were busy for weeks and so looking forward to this day – Our yearly Christmas Party at Big Ben Kids.
On the 18th of December we had a special visitor at Big Ben Kids !
The sound of the bell, someone knocking on the door. A deep voice calling our children, that can only be Santa who is coming to visit us with a big sack filled with presents. The children prepared milk and homemade cookies to welcome Santa. The atmosphere was magical, all children so sweet and quiet waiting for Santa to call their names.
Some were a bit shy and thanked Santa with a whispered “Thank you Santa”. Other children went to sit on his lap and Santa even got super big hugs and high fives.
We sang our favorite Christmas songs for him and waved him good bye … wishing to see him again next year.
These events and the whole holiday season has once again reflected what we stand for at Big Ben Kids – a warm “second home” for everyone.
